My name is Melissa Brennan and I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. I attend Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. I have a love for traveling and am fortunate to do so. I’ve ranged from backpacking the backlands of Fiji, to Couch Surfing in Vietnam to going on luxury cruises through the Mediterranean. I want to experience everything when it comes to traveling – the good and the bad and I never plan to stop.
Outside of traveling:
I’m a member of Delta Zeta National Sorority, a goalkeeper for the Arizona State University Women’s Soccer Team and a Global Ambassador for Semester At Sea.
*I just added a new page under About Me that has more pictures from my life outside of traveling, check it out!
Places I’ve been:
Nice web site, congrats. maybe you should come to chile, a long country with different sites and landscapes, i sure you gonna like it.
Cheers
Thanks for the comment, Rodrigo! I plan to make it to Chile sooner than later…I’ve only heard good things!!

I read on a yahoo article on your “penguin video” cool video btw.. that you pay for the travels thru internships.. and with parents help.. listen.. i wish you all the best with the travels BUT for the love of god. DONT PERTEND that if it wasnt for your mommie and daddie paying for everything you wouldnt have gone to one country let alone 7 contin.. who are we kidding here? heres the breakdown of the cost of you visiting 7 contin.. 99 percent mommie and daddie and 1 percent from your “internships” its just insulting that you think by adding scholarships and internships that somehow were stupid to think it wasnt your dad who basicaly paid for your to go. just be honest. thats all.
Hi Ethan. Thanks for your comment! My Mother and Father do support me a lot and I am so blessed. Because I have loving and supportive parents doesn’t mean I haven’t worked very hard to make my dream of visiting all seven continents before turning 21 a reality. I am a college student-athlete, in a sorority, in two academic honor societies and a global ambassador for a study abroad program. This may not seem like a lot of work to you, but this takes up all of my time and energy. I love everything I do and put 100% effort into it. There are millions of people out there that have the means to travel on a budget, but they don’t want to – they are too scared, don’t want to take the time to research places/hotels/flights/things to do. I am being completely honest with my readers. I am not pretending, this is my life. Thanks 🙂

Totally Awesome. There are so many sites to see. Do u have any new goals?
Hi!! Thanks for the comment! My next goal is to sail through all of the oceans of the world. I have sailed through the Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and the Southern Ocean. I only have the Arctic Ocean left and I plan to get up there this summer if I don’t need to take any last minute college classes (I need to stay track to graduate in 2014)! 🙂

wonderful! you have really a lot of money…
Hi Jerry! Thanks for the comment! I have been blessed with the opportunities that have presented themselves to me but I have worked very hard to pay for these trips and filled out A LOT of scholarship applications lol

perfect. I understand, thank you.
I also want to be blessed!
I want to make a blog like yours. I can copy you right?
I’m 21 and trip to New Zealand…thx
Just curios, who pays for the traveling?
Hi Doxepin! Thanks for the comment! I have been blessed with the opportunities that have presented themselves to me! I have worked very hard to pay for these trips and filled out A LOT of scholarship applications lol My parents support me 100% and make sure I put myself in a position to be able to pay for my international trips. Since 2007, when I started traveling, it has gotten a lot cheaper since I have friends in various places around the world!

Hey Sister!
Love your blog and I shared it with my chapter, Gamma Sigma. It’s great to see you’re able to follow your dreams and “keep on keeping on”. I’m in the Navy, and using that too my full advantage for travel.
In the Flame,
Meredith
