Over New Years and my birthday I traveled around Spain and visited Morocco for a day!
Madrid for New Years
Costa Del Sol
Barcelona for my birthday
Highlights from the trip:
A camel bit me in Morocco!
Experienced Sol in Madrid-eating 12 grapes leading down to New Years (a Spanish tradition)
Went to Apollo in Barcelona
Visited the La Sagrada Familia
Went to a Seville vs. Valencia Futbol match in Valencia
Traveled with my Big in Delta Zeta
An unbelievable 2 week trip throughout Thailand. I wasn’t planning on traveling until summer, but one of my best friends, Sarah, who I met on Europe 08 (and who went on Europe 10 with me) Facebook messaged me and simply said we should go… a week later we were signed up and then two months later we were in Bangkok!!! Not only did I get to see Sarah, I got to see Jeremy (Europe 08), and Dan (Europe 10). So it was also a Europe reunion!!!
We went to a Tiger Temple, rode elephants, experienced a Thai ropes course (I will explain at the end of this post), SPENT NEW YEARS IN BANGKOK, and lived through a night at Kao San Road.
Temple of the Emerald Buddha
Europe 2010. Feels like yesterday. This was the first trip that I have gone on that has been really out nightlife and experiencing culture – to its fullest. Yes, Guinness in Dublin, Heineken in Amsterdam, Limoncello in Venice, and Tuscan wine vineyards. Also clubs throughout Europe – Tiger Tiger in London and Queen Club on Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Paris! Plus much much more..
Book of Kells/Trinity College Library
St. Patrick’s Cathedral
Anne Frank House
Perfume factory tour
Stonehenge and Bath
Cava and Tapas
Monaco Casino Night
San Gimignano with wine tasting
Biking the Dutch Countryside
While I was in Europe in 2007, I met a girl named Bethany and became best friends with her. I would visit her in New York City almost once a month. I met all of her friends and before I knew it I was signed up with her school to go to Greece!! It was a week trip over spring break but it was amazing! These weren’t the only places we went to throughout the country, but the main stops!
